Description
This single-plot Pinot Noir is the first vintage from a unique microclimate – Les Tires – which we have produced with the 2015 vintage. Our wish was to raise an elegant, fruity Pinot Noir with a finesse that we had not yet achieved.
Raised for 24 months in custom-made barrels, the wood of which was chosen directly from the forest, the work on delicacy is precisely brought by these oak pieces. The aromatic framework is carried on red fruits with black flesh and the aging brings an additional length in the mouth, always with freshness and supple tannins.
With a ruby color, expressing the refinement of Pinot Noir, this vintage presents an exceptional aromatic balance with silky tannins in the mouth.
Coming from a few lines of vines from the place called “Les Tires” in Auvernier, this vintage benefits from a unique terroir; The best soils in terms of nutrients were selected in parallel with the age of the vines, which are 60 years old. The low yield of these very old vines is ideal for concentrating the varietal aromas of the King of grape varieties, Pinot Noir.
